Why choose Collaborative Coaching for Young People?

My bespoke coaching sessions develop wellbeing and capabilities in young people, and encourage them to think about and focus on their hopes and dreams, The approach encourages understanding of the power of this moment, relationships and attitude to promote individual growth and development.

Teenage and early adult years can be a strange and stressful time, involving a lot of major life changes and decisions. At that age we can feel that what is happening  in our lives such as attending school or being as we see it ‘forced’ to do things we don’t want to do, can make us feel that we have no control or say in our own lives. That is a very disempowering thing.

My aim is to provide a supportive hand to see and do things differently, by using techniques that can be introduced into everyday life to help make life a little easier.  I offer a safe space for young people to feel connected, to share news, goals and achievements, and celebrate success. 

​

When I was a young person I faced many challenges which, although I overcame them in later years; I believe I could have overcome them earlier in my life if I perhaps had someone to help me through them.  My passion is to be that person that I needed when I was a younger.

Its About Time Coaching

 

What is 'Its About Time Coaching' (IAT)?

 

Its About Time 1:1 collaborative coaching is a range of individual sessions for anyone between the ages of 10 and 18 who are disengaging from education, or even their community or family, it helps them feel and be more confident, manage healthy or unhealthy relationships, especially with themselves, and/or positively change their overall wellbeing and even see the relevance in education to their own aspirations, hopes and dreams.

IAT Promotes the following:

 

Self care

The use of present time

Understanding relationships

Mindfulness and grounding techniques

Identity and self awareness

Self esteem and confidence

Attitude and its importance in life

 

What to expect from the session?

​

An initial introductory session involves getting to know each other and discussing areas of focus by using the wheel of life approach.  I understand that everyone will have different preferences and needs, so the sessions and  content after this can be hand picked by the individual.  We keep the sessions fun, interactive, and as light hearted as possible.  Each sessions last for 45 minutes. 

 

The 8 bespoke IAT sessions which you can see in more detail by clicking here, can either be participated in fully, or the learner can pick individual sessions which suit the individuals needs and we can take it from there.  I can also formulate other personal specific packages to suit the needs of the young person after the first introductory session.

The approach aims to reach the following outcomes although this is not an exhaustive list:

The other good new is that this offer is not restricted.  I offer flexibility through initial chats to deliver exactlty what suits the individual. My delivery options can also include: Workshops, seminars, public speaking, Classroom, Group Work and 1:1 collaborative coaching sessions. Sessions can be booked individually or in blocks and can be purchased at a discounted price according to the need.
