My Writing

The Memoirs of the Square Peg

How many of us believe we have a book in us?  Well I did, but I spent all of my adult life until I was 51 thinking its not something I could do. Yep its that inner voice again.  Well I did.

The Memoirs of the Square Peg

The Memoirs of the Square peg is a story of my own self-realisation about who I really am, and what I’m going to do about it.

It’s a tongue in cheek look at life, and asks that old question WHAT THE...? It is part of a concept of square peg people, and is accompanied by a sound track ‘The songs of a square peg’ which was written during the writing of the book as described within its chapters.

The book is a live show.  It also translates to workshops and live music from the album to interact with audiences in how it relates to us all. I was at a jumping off point in my life.

I had gone full circle in life.  I had followed the rules and acquired the stuff that was supposed to make me happy.  But it hadn’t.  In fact, I had become unhappy and I had no idea why? It was time to find out.

See the Square Peg People Sessions

My Square Peg People sessions are a live one man show in based upon each chapter of my book 'The memoirs of the Square Peg' and perform songs from the sound track to the book 'The songs of a Square Peg'.

Its an interactive tongue in cheek look at life, its a funny, sad and outright ridiculous aspect of finding ourselves in this life.  The whole Square Peg People concept is a demonstration from me to you that in this life ,'If you it you'll do it, and if you don't , you wont.'

Some Reviews

Jill Clark, UK

Well I grew up in the same town as Tam and can totally relate to everything he says, only wish that we had the courage to speak about our feelings 'back in the day'. We all could have helped each other so much.

Tams words will resonate with you all in some way. His book made me think, made me smile, laugh out loud at some parts and even brought a wee tear. Well done Tam, loved your book, well worth a read guys.

Tams book is written eloquently and for me was very relatable. It’s not often I pick up a book and am instantly engaged.

Tam digs holes in the systems that keeps us small and offers his insights/practices to keep yourself true to your purpose. An excellent read.

Thoroughly enjoyable read. Tam takes no prisoners and his insight really chimed with my own thoughts. Whether or not you identify as a spiritual being, there is plenty in this book that will chime with you.

I read this book twice in two days and I expect this will be one I will reference and recommend for years to come. Brilliant. A classic for our times.
